On 31st August KL’s free bus service GOKL celebrated its first anniversary. While nobody knew whether the service would be well accepted by KLites, it has turned out to be a huge success not only with locals but with visitors alike. Thanks to GOKL, tourists can explore the city center from Chinatown to KLCC comfortably, safe and absolutely free. No waiting for taxis which tend to overcharge, especially for driving short distance in the city.
GOKL currently operates two lines – the green and the purple line. While the green line links the Bukit Bintang area and Pavilion Mall with KLCC (the Petronas Twin Towers), the purple line connects Bukit Bintang with Chinatown, Pudu Sentral (bus terminal) and the Central Market. Both lines operate in intervals of 5 to 15 minutes (depending on the time of the day) from 6am until 11pm. And guess what – you even get to use free Wifi on the bus!
For our guests it is super easy and convenient to use this service. The Wisma Boustead stop is just 5 minutes away from Orange Pekoe. We will be happy to tell you which line to take depending on your program. Enjoy this great service while you stay with us here in KL!
